The compelling and touching biography by Giordano Bruno Guerri inspired this intentionally short work (about 80 minutes on stage) in a contemporary style, also in close contact with the audience. It is a passionate and fast-paced journey, full of memories and evocative recollections that often come from the very voices of the protagonists (through original letters or through voices that had never been heard before, but are poetically imaginable). They are orchestrated in such a way as to give the audience a sort of moving photograph of the life of one of the most astonishing and controversial artists of all time. Original live music.
The play has already been staged within the framework of Cortina Incontra, of the Exhibition on Van Gogh at the Vittoriano in 2011, at the Caffè Fandango in Rome, at the Parenti theatre in Milan and at the Brancaccino of Rome, with excellent results.
