Mexico City, the Alinari Photo Archive shows 19th century Florence

The Alinari Photographic Archive contains images of Florence in the 19th century, depicting the city’s transformation from Florence as the capital of Italy to Florence the capital of international tourism. This is the theme of the lecture that Stefano Bertocci will hold at 7 p.m., today, 3 April, at the Italian Cultural Institute in Mexico City. Bertocci is full professor at the Faculty of Architecture in the University of Florence and participates in international research projects on the options offered by digital technologies in the field of archaeological, architectural and urban surveying. He has promoted several scientific and cultural cooperation agreements between the University of Florence and foreign universities and has organised international conferences on the documentation of architectural and cultural heritage.
