The 24th International Book Festival Budapest will kick off on Thursday, 20 April. Italian writer Giorgio Ghiotti will attend on the opening day. On Friday 21 April, the Italian Cultural Institute in Budapest will host a chat with Tommasi Giagni in its Federico Fellini Hall. Mr Giagni will address the audience on the topic: “The narrations of Rome in literature and film from the post-war period to the present”. On the next day, the author will launch his book, “Prima di perderti” [Before Losing You]. On Saturday, 22 April, Giorgio Ghiotti will participate with his “Rondini per formiche” [Swallows for Ants] in the European First Novel Festival, the official presentation of young debutant authors. On the same day, Italian writer Francesco Caringella will present his “Dieci minuti per uccidere” [Ten Minutes to Kill].
