China: agreement between Trentino Sviluppo and Beijing Enterprise Group for the 2022 Winter Olympics
A Memorandum of Understanding was signed by Trentino Sviluppo, Beijing Enterprise Group and Molin Sport. The ceremony was attended by the Undersecretary of State for Economic Development, Ivan Scalfarotto, and the President of the Province of Trento, Ugo Rossi. It aims to promote industrial and technological exchange, along with “know how”, to design new sports facilities and accommodation for the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics. The memorandum lays out a medium to long term collaboration for the promotion of tourism in both areas. Trentino Sviluppo has been requested to prepare an industrial offer coordinating all the companies in the Alps region active in winter sports events, including firms, technology and training centres for design, installation and management of skiing facilities. Beijing Enterprise Group plans public and private investments of 2.7 billion euros in the next four years leading up to the 2022 Olympics.
