Italian Economic Diplomacy, 5 May: latest news from the world

The Italian company Inso has been adjudicated the contract to rebuild the hospital district in Skopje. The 72-million-euro project includes the construction over a period of four years of a new nine-story hospital facility over an area of 47,000 square metres, including a rooftop heliport for emergencies. The project is the Country’s most important public investment in medical infrastructure, reported the Minister of Health, Nikola Todorov, and it is financed by the Council of Europe Development Bank. The Florence-based Inso belongs to the Ferfina Group and it participated in the public tender launched by the Ministry of Health in a consortium with two of Macedonia’s largest construction companies: Granit and Beton. Also the final plan, worth approximately 1.5 million euros, has been assigned to the Italian-Macedonian consortium and was finalised by an Italian company, the Turin-based Aren.
