Spain: Valencia hosts a technology fair for UN peace missions
Valencia is hosting a technology fair aimed at the needs of UN peacekeeping missions on 24 and 25 October, 2017. The fair, organised by the United Nations Procurement Division, will include five sectors: construction, security, telecommunications, energy and logistics. Companies wishing to take part will have the opportunity to present their products. Companies should submit their applications to the Procurement Division through the Permanent Representative at the UN by 1 July, 2017.
UAE: first contract for Metropolitana Milanese at Expo 2020 Dubai
Metropolitana Milanese (MM) has been awarded the first contract for an Italian company at EXPO 2020 Dubai. It is for contractual verification and preparation of tenders (“Procurement and Contracts Support Framework”). Last November MM took part in a mission led by Undersecretary for Economic Development, Ivan Scalfarotto, to the EXPO 2020 exhibition site. A delegation of Italian businesses that had been successfully involved in EXPO 2015 in Milan were able to meet the departments in real estate/engineering, sales, human resources and wellness for EXPO 2020. They presented their details and investigated business opportunities for tenders envisaged in 2017.
