The Brazilian city of Sao Paulo will play host to the 2017 edition of the Italian Film Festival, which will run from 1 June to 19 June. The Festival will feature a selection of films with a view tol promoting a better understanding and appreciation of our country.
Paolo Sorrentino’s “The Great Beauty”, 2013, will be screened on the opening night. It will be followed by Roberto Benigni’s “Life is Beautiful” on June 8. Gabriele Salvatores’ “Mediterraneo” will be screened on June 22. Giuseppe Tornatore’s “New Cinema Paradiso”, 1988 will close the Festival programme on June 29.
The Festival has been organised by the Italian Cultural Institute in Sao Paulo, in cooperation with the Centro di Integrazione delle Imprese e della Scuola (CIEE) [Center for the Integration of Enterprises and Schools].
