A piano concert in complete darkness that ends in light, by pianist Cesare Picco, will take place today, Thursday, 8 June, at 7:30 p.m. at the Bogotà Theatre. This musical and sensory experience is also intended as a message of hope and friendship between Italy and Colombia to continue supporting Mocoa, the city in southern Colombia that was devastated by the simultaneous flooding of three rivers last April.
The Italian Embassy and the Institute of Culture, with the support of private sponsors, have organised a highly symbolic charity event for the Mocoa victims following the immediate donation by the Italian government of 300,000 euros to the Colombian Red Cross, one of the most significant contributions.
