The exhibition “Futurismo e Velocità. La velocità in terra e nell’aria”, [Futurism and Speed. Speed on the ground and in the air], organised by the Italian Cultural Institute in Lima in conjunction with the Museum of Italian Art, will close its doors on 6 August. Curated by Maurizio Scudiero, it showcases fifty works by several Futurist artists who belonged to the artistic movement in the early 20th century, which broke with traditional literature and art of the past, paving the way to modern aspects of contemporary life. The exhibition is especially focused on speed, science and technology, which were the main sources of inspiration for the movement. These works, on show at the Museum of Italian Art, are the best continuation of the previous exhibit “Depero. Futurista y artista global”, organised by the Italian Cultural Institute last year.
