The European Film Festival opens in Managua at 7 pm on Wednesday 27 September 2017, celebrating its 14th edition. Thanks to the cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI) the Farnesina and the Italian Embassy in Managua, the “Bel Paese” will have the honour again, for first time in a number of years, to kick-start the Festival. Fausto Brizzi’s “Pazze di me” (“Women Drive Me Crazy”) is the opening title. The Festival, whose rich programme of events runs until 11 October, also features a second Italian film, Carlo Mazzacurati’s “La sedia della felicitá” (“The Chair of Happiness”).
