Portugal – ‘Oceanography and more: works by Marina Bindella’

Contemporary art exhibits are ongoing at the Italian Cultural Institute in Lisbon, which will showcase Marina Bindella’s xylography in a show entitled ‘Oceanografia e altro: opere di Marina Bindella’, curated by Prof. Claudio Zambianchi, professor of History of Contemporary Art at La Sapienza University in Rome.

The launch of the  exhibit, which will be attended by the artist and the curator, is scheduled for Thursday 28 September, at 7 p.m. in the former Chapel of the Italian Institute, at Rua do Salitre, 146, in Lisbon.

The exhibit will include a selection of xylography, oil on canvas, drawings on wood, and watercolors. It will also feature the artist’s book on Oceanography, which features xylography as an accompaniment to four poems by Jose Saramago. The book has been produced expressly for the exhibition taking place at the Italian Cultural Institute in Lisbon.
