United Arab Emirates: new success for Cimolai-Rimond in the area of infrastructure construction in Dubai

The Cimolai-Rimond contracting company has recorded another success in the infrastructure construction for Dubai’s Expo2020. After winning the contract for the Al Wasl Plaza, a central hub for directing the flow of visitors to the site of the Expo, the company is now about to be adjudicated the subcontracting works for “Infinity Bridge” over Dubai Creek, in the Shindagha District (a project worth 106 million dollars assigned to the Belgian company Besix in May 2018). The bridge, which is expected to be completed in two years, will constitute the only bridge to be almost 300 metres long and will be part of the so-called “Shindagha Corridor” Project that unfolds through the neighbourhoods of the “old city” (Bur Dubai and Deira). The same urban district is planned to host another bridge, the “Central Bridge”, designed to give access to the port of Dubai Creek. With the design already assigned to the American Parsons by the RTA (Dubai Roads and Transport Authority), the Italian company is now waiting for the next public tenders to be launched for the construction of the facility.
