China: belt and road initiative
In order to raise the awareness and the preparedness of Italian companies in presenting projects in the Belt and Road Initiative promoting cooperation with China in Third Markets, Confindustria has organised 5 meetings, to be held at local level, in the week from 18 to 22 February. The meetings will take place in Milan, Bologna, Turin, Rome and Verona.
The aim is to illustrate to Italian SMEs providing goods and services or operating in the infrastructure or major works sector (roads, railways, ports, airports, commercial and social construction, large industrial plants, energy and water treatment) the cooperation opportunities in projects either under way or being developed by China and its local governments in three focus Countries: Egypt, Kazakhstan and Georgia. The meetings will also be attended by representatives of the Italian diplomatic and consular offices and of the overseas offices of the ICE Agency, with the aim of exchanging information on scenarios, opportunities and strategies.
