Opengov Champion Award, a prize for open Administrations

The Opengov Champion Award (whose third edition is being held this year) is a special acknowledgement for the administration offices that have embarked on the opening process.

The Public Function Department published the competition announcement during the Open Administration Week. The civil society organisations of the Open Government Forum will select – with the technical support of the Public Function Department – the finalist projects.

The aim of the Award is to prize the successful experiences of open data and transparency, participation and accountability, digital citizenship and expertise.

In 2017, the first edition focused on the experiences of the Administration offices, while last year it was dedicated to the experiences of civil society organisations.

The Award – just like the Action Plan, which is currently being processed – allows us to highlight the cutting-edge, innovative projects that Italian Administration offices can implement in order to open themselves to the citizens, to be transparent and to apply new technologies to their services.
