Armenia – Opening of the Sartex joint-venture in the high-end textile industry
A production plant was recently opened in Armenia for the company Sartex, a joint-venture created last June between the Italian company Sartis, based in Veneto, and Alex Textile, an Armenian company controlled by the magnate Samvel Alexanyan. This is the fourth facility that Sartis has opened in Armenia, and will operate in the production of quality clothing to be exported exclusively to Italy to supply MaxMara, Moncler, Dainese, Dolce&Gabbana and other high-end brands. The industrial plan calls for the production of about 5,000 items of clothing per year, exclusively for the Italian market, which will probably then be re-exported to other countries.
