The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Luigi Di Maio, is in Beirut, Lebanon, today on a diplomatic mission that will include a greeting to the Italian troops deployed in the UNIFIL mission in southern Lebanon.
During his visit, Minister Di Maio will meet with his Lebanese counterpart, the outgoing Foreign Minister Gibran Bassil. He will later go to the base hosting the headquarters of the Italian contingent operating in the UNIFIL mission and then to the UNIFIL headquarters, where he will meet with the Head of Mission, the Italian Army General Stefano Del Col.
