Croatia: a contract between Ina and Kinetics Technology for refinery modernisation
On 20 December, the Italian company Kinetics Technology and Ina-Industrija Nafte signed a contract worth approximately HRK 3.3 billion (nearly EUR 450 million) for the modernisation of the Urinj refinery, which involves the construction of a new plant to improve the processing of heavy residues, producing higher quality derivatives and therefore cleaner fuels.
The implementation of the project will be entrusted to the expertise of the Italian company KT, which is consolidating its presence, started in the 80s, in a strategic country like Croatia, in collaboration with many Croatian companies; the work will be completed during 2023.
