On 26 March 2020 the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Luigi Di Maio, had a telephone conversation with the NATO Secretary General, Jens Stoltenberg, to discuss NATO’s role and logistical assistance in the Covid-19 emergency. Other issues discussed included also the situation in Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, and the fight against terrorism.
