Sparkle boosts its Pacific routes by adding a fibre pair on Google’s Curie submarine cable

Sparkle announces the enhancement of its American backbone and boosting of its Pacific routes with a new fibre pair on the Curie submarine cable system connecting Chile to the US.
Google-owned Curie is the first direct new generation US-Chile cable connecting Los Angeles to Valparaíso.
Sparkle’s new fibre pair on Curie will be fully integrated with Sparkle’s global backbone, increasing redundancy and offering a fourth diversified route connecting South and North America, complementing the Seabras-1 cable connecting Brazil and the US and another two cables on the Atlantic and Pacific sides.

Sparkle’s expansion plans focused on the Pacific South American coast, with a direct US-Chile route, as well as easy onward connectivity to the rest of the world, position Sparkle as the best-in-class choice for OTTs, ISPs, Enterprises, Content/Application Providers and Asian players.
