BRAZIL – Pirelli inaugurates the largest Latin American multi-track complex for tyre development and testing.
Pirelli has recently inaugurated a 1.65 million square meter automotive test track, the largest in Latin America. In total, the multi-purpose “Panamerican Circuit” complex has absorbed investments equal to 90 million Reais, about 15 million Euros, and will serve not only to develop new products, but also to accelerate the testing of tyres that the Italian company exports to other foreign markets, including the USA. The space contains seven different tracks, as well as meeting rooms, auditoriums and boxes. It relates to 11 other Pirelli centres around the world.
The circuit was built in Elias Fausto, a city located about 140 kilometres from Sao Paulo, in a space eight times larger than Pirelli’s old test track in Sumare’, also in the state of Sao Paulo.
