Meeting of the 9th Steering Committee for Italy’s International Outlook

The meeting of the 9th Steering Committee for Italy’s International Outlook, co-chaired by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Luigi Di Maio, and the Minister of Economic Development, Stefano Patuanelli, will be held today in virtual format.

The Steering Committee for Italy’s International Outlook is an initiative for outlining the resources and guidelines and providing strategic direction for the promotion abroad and the internationalisation of Italy’s economy. In short, it is the direct expression of the commitment of the central and local government institutions and the representatives of the business world to effectively coordinate the policies and strategies for the internationalisation of the Country’s economy, pooling the initiatives by the various stakeholders and concentrating the use of financial resources towards specific and shared objectives.

Besides the two co-chairs, the institutional session of the meeting also featured speeches by the Minister of Economy and Finance, Roberto Gualtieri, the Minister for Cultural Assets and Activities and Tourism, Dario Franceschini, the Minister for Universities and Research, Gaetano Manfredi, the Minister for Technological Innovation and Digisation, Paola Pisano, the Minister for the South and Territorial Cohesion, Giuseppe Provenzano, the Minister for European Affairs, Vincenzo Amendola, the President of the Conference of Regions and Autonomous Provinces, Stefano Bonaccini, the Deputy Minister of infrastructure and Transport, Giancarlo Cancelleri, the Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Emanuela Del Re, the Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Marina Sereni, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Manlio Di Stefano, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Ivan Scalfarotto.

The Steering Committee meeting will also be attended by representatives of the public entities tasked with supporting exports and of the business and financial world, as well as of all the other signatories of the “Pact for Export”.
