Webinar on “Energy and climate in the energy transition: the Italian and international context in the perspective of the G20 and COP26”

The Permanent Representation of Italy to the International Organisations based in Paris, in collaboration with ENEA, has organised a webinar on “Energy and climate in the energy transition: the Italian and international context in the perspective of the G20 and COP26”, to be held on 20 July 2021, from 14:00 to 15:30.

The webinar will be an opportunity to present the IEA report “Net Zero by 2050: a Roadmap for the Global Energy Sector”, which points to a viable action plan to decarbonise the global energy sector and achieve zero emissions by 2050.

The event will bring together the main stakeholders involved in the Italian energy and infrastructure sectors and will debate the challenges and the role of Italy – G20 Presidency and partner of the British Presidency of COP26 – in the current international context, in a year of opportunities for climate diplomacy.

The initiative is the conclusion of the cycle of seminars on “A sustainable recovery through energy transition – Italy meets the International Energy Agency”, during which Italian experts from the IEA presented various reports of the Organisation on sectors and technologies of interest to Italy’s institutions and businesses.
