The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Luigi Di Maio, is on a mission to Tripoli to participate in the Ministerial Conference on the Stabilisation of Libya, promoted by the Libyan Foreign Minister, Najla Al Mangush.
The aim of the Conference is to promote the stabilisation of the country by expressing, in particular, support for the Action Plan of the 5+5 Joint Military Commission – created following the October 2020 ceasefire – on the withdrawal of foreign mercenaries and fighters and strengthening the principle of Libyan ownership in international linking mechanisms on economic and security issues.
On the sidelines of the meeting, Minister Di Maio will be meeting with Libyan Prime Minister Dabaiba.
