Brazil: Saipem awarded a USD 940 million contract with Petrobras

Saipem has been awarded the USD 940 million (approximately EUR 830 million) contract with Petrobras to connect 15 wells of the Buzios subsea oil field to the Almirante Tamandare’ floating production, storage and offloading unit (FPSOU), as well as to anchor the latter to the seabed. The contract for connecting the 15 oil wells to the Almirante Tamandare’ FPSOU is the third agreement awarded to Saipem by Petrobras since July 2020, following the USD 325 million agreement in July 2020 and the USD 1.3 billion agreement in June this year, for a total of USD 2.455 billion.
