Premio CIDU per i Diritti Umani 2020-21

The second edition of the “CIDU Human Rights Award” will be held today, starting at 10:00, at the Ara Pacis Museum in Rome. The award is presented each year to individuals and organisations that have distinguished themselves in promoting human rights in our country, to emphasise the key role that the protection and promotion of human rights plays as one of the guiding lights of Italy’s foreign policy.

The event will be held to coincide with the celebrations of the World Human Rights Day and will feature the winners of both editions (2020 and 2021).

The award ceremony will be introduced by the Chair of the Interministerial Human Rights Committee (CIDU), Fabrizio Petri, followed by the opening address by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and President of the Award Committee of Honour, Benedetto Della Vedova, the EU Special Representative for the Sahel, Emanuela Claudia Del Re, the Minister for Equal Opportunities and the Family, Elena Bonetti, and the Minister of Health, Roberto Speranza.

The event will be live-streamed
