Today the Farnesina’s International Conference Hall will host the meeting entitled “Legal Diplomacy at the Service of Peace and International Security: Italy’s Commitment to Combat Corruption” organised by the Ministry for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation in partnership with the Ministry of the Interior and the Ministry of Justice to mark the International Anti-Corruption Day.

The meeting opens the Farnesina’s cycle of “Global Days”, a series of initiatives on issues of international interest to share information and best practices and will take place at the attendance of the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Antonio Tajani, the Minister of the Interior, Matteo Piantedosi, and the Minister of Justice, Carlo Nordio. The Secretary General of the OECD, Mathias Cormann, will deliver a video message.

The event will open with remarks by the Secretary General of the Farnesina, Ettore Francesco Sequi, and will be moderated by journalist Bruno Vespa. It will be attended by the Diplomatic Corps accredited in Italy and by the representatives of the main national and international institutions engaged in combating corruption in the world of business and in civil society.

The meeting will close with remarks by the Farnesina’s Director General for Globalisation and Global Issues, Vincenza Lomonaco.
