The Government of Western Australia recently launched a new online platform for attracting foreign investment, called “WA Investments” and accessible at https://wainvestments.com.au.
In addition to listing the country’s many economic and natural strengths, it presents in a very user-friendly manner the main projects open to foreign investment, currently worth a total of AUD 6bn, approximately EUR 3.6bn. Mining and energy, infrastructure, aerospace, health care, agriculture, tourism and creative industries are the main areas of focus. Each category will gradually be enriched with new projects available. The goal is to facilitate the approach of foreign economic operators to the local market. The website also includes a section where foreign companies can advertise projects for which they are seeking local investors.
