The International Conference on Development and Migration opens today at the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation in Rome. Heads of State and Government and Ministers of Foreign Affairs from the enlarged Mediterranean region, the leaders of the European Union and the main international financial institutions will take part in the conference.
The Conference will get underway at 1:00 p.m. in the International Conference Hall, with a welcome address by Italian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Antonio Tajani, followed by the opening speech by Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni. Two working sessions are scheduled, with the conclusions being entrusted to the Italian Prime Minister.
At the end of the proceedings, a press point by the Italian Prime Minister is scheduled in the Aldo Moro Hall.
