Minister for Foreign Affairs Giulio Terzi expressed his satisfaction with the election of Italian judge Cuno Tarfusser as Vice President of the International Criminal Court yesterday in The Hague. Vice President Tarfusser was elected after a three-year mandate as Judge in the Pre-Trial Division of the same ICC.
This acknowledgement of the Italian magistrate’s accomplishments bears witness to our country’s international prestige and its maximum support for an institutional of fundamental importance, authorised to rule on the most serious international crimes, and whose statute was stipulated in Rome in 1998.
