Minister Terzi met today with Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Montenegro Igor Lukšić in the margins of the “New approaches to the Security Council reform” meeting. Their discussion centred on a common intention to pursue and strengthen bilateral relations, and Italy’s support for Montenegro’s Euro-Atlantic integration.
Minister Terzi confirmed Italy’s strong encouragement of Podgorica in its pursuit of EU accession, and the hope that its gradual adaptation to European standards will contribute to attracting further foreign investment in the Montenegro market, where Italy has already held the number one position among investor countries for 4 years now.
