“This is a very positive development that deserves our deep appreciation”, was Minister for Foreign Affairs Giulio Terzi’s comment regarding diplomatic relations between Israel and Turkey.
“It is highly encouraging for the region’s security prospects”, the minister continued, “that the grounds for amicable partnership and cooperation between Israel and Turkey, two actors of fundamental importance for peace and stability in the Middle East, have been restored”, Terzi stressed, recalling that “Italy is bound to both countries by especially profound and solid ties of friendship”.
“We look with confidence”, Terzi concluded, “to the significant opportunities that today’s essential step forward will ensure for the construction of a more stable and secure greater Mediterranean”.
