Prime Minister and interim Foreign Minister Mario Monti sent the following message today to Italian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi:
“On behalf of the Italian government and the Italian people, I wish to express my condolences following the earthquake in the Busher Province of Iran, whose toll in human lives and material damage has unfortunately been very high. I also wish to assure you that, at this deeply painful moment, Italy extends its solidarity to the peoples affected by the tragedy and willingness to be of assistance to them”.
