Deputy Minister Marta Dassù begins a mission to Romania today, 17 October, where she plans to hold meetings with President of the Senate Crin Antonescu, Prime Minister Victor Ponta, Foreign Minister Titus Corlatean, Secretary of State for European Affairs George Ciamba and Secretary of State for the Economy Adrian Ciocanea. Within the framework of the strategic partnership between Italy and Romania, this visit will offer an opportunity to review a broad range of questions. In addition to bilateral relations, with a special focus on economic relations and Italian businesses operating in Romania, other concerns will regard European questions, with particular attention to the upcoming European Councils of October and December and the priorities of the Italian EU Presidency in the second half of 2014.
During her mission, which is to last through tomorrow, Deputy Minister Dassù will also be meeting with representatives of the Italian business community in Romania.
