The Minister for Foreign Affairs, the Hon. Federica Mogherini, has welcomed the news that the Ministerial Council of the Vienna-based Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) has re-appointed Ambassador Lamberto Zannier as Secretary General.
The re-appointment justly recognises the work of the Italian diplomat who, to broad acclaim, has revitalised the role of the Organisation since his initial appointment in 2011.
Italy will continue to offer its firm support to Zannier in his work, especially in the leading role that the OSCE is playing to find a solution to the crisis in Ukraine.
