Under-Secretary for Foreign Affairs Benedetto Della Vedova met today at the Farnesina with Deputy Premier and Foreign Minister of the Republic of Moldavia Natalia Gherman.
Their discussions centred on preparations for the parliamentary elections in Moldavia on 30 November, not least with regard to the polls to be opened in Italy, and economic and social relations between the two countries. They also examined relations between Moldavia and the European Union following the June signing of the association agreement, as well as the Ukraine crisis. “We consider the Republic of Moldavia’s European prospects highly important, and extend our full support”, commented Della Vedova.
