Somalia: terrorist attack in Mogadishu, Minister Gentiloni monitoring situation through Crisis Unit

Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Paolo Gentiloni has been closely monitoring the situation regarding a terrorist attack by the members of Al-Shabaab on the Mogadishu headquarters of the African Union in Somalia (Amisom). Through the ministry’s Crisis Unit , he has been able to verify that six Italian nationals, one of which an employee of the Italian embassy,  have been contacted and are safe.

The Crisis Unit continues to monitor the situation in coordination with the COI.
