Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Paolo Gentiloni met today with Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia Eduard Nalbadyan.
The meeting offered an opportunity to exchange views on principal international concerns, particularly the tensions in the Mediterranean region and the Middle East, recent developments in the Iranian nuclear negotiations and the crisis in Ukraine.
Minister Gentiloni expressed satisfaction with the status of bilateral relations founded on “an ancient tradition of friendship between our peoples”.
Finally, the head of the Farnesina underscored his appreciation for the processes of reform and liberalisation under way in Armenia and for the country’s decision to pursue its dialogue with the European Union.
