The Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Paolo Gentiloni, met the President of the Republic of Uganda, Yoweri Museveni, in Milan today. The meeting provided an opportunity to review the excellent state of bilateral relations and the main regional and international questions.
Minister Gentiloni commented on Uganda’s participation in the African Union Mission to Somalia (AMISOM) and observed that Uganda is playing an essential role in implementing the Agreement.
The head of the Farnesina assured President Museveni of Italy’s great and growing interest in Africa, as witnessed by the ever-increasing number of government and business missions to that continent in recent years.
