Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Paolo Gentiloni spoke by telephone today with Egyptian Minister for Foreign Affairs Sameh Shoukry within the framework of continued contact in the interests of a peaceful solution to the crisis in Libya.
Italy and Egypt have reiterated their full support for the undertakings of UN special envoy Bernardino Leon, and the two ministers renewed the hope that the talks currently under way in Morocco would be brought to a conclusion over the coming days without any further postponement.
