Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Paolo Gentiloni held a telephone conversation with the Greek Minister of Foreign Affairs Nikos Kotzias.
“Italy,” Minister Gentiloni said, “believes unilateral initiatives on immigration to be dangerous and does not share any position aimed at having one single Country, such as Greece, bear the responsibility of facing up to the migration crisis.”
“We need a common commitment, “ Minister Gentiloni stated, “ but effective solutions can only be found in a widely shared and solidarity-based European commitment.”
