Alfano: “The news of the chemical attack against helpless civilians in Syria and the bombing of the hospitals where the wounded were taken are upsetting. Italy will be in the forefront at the UN Security Council emergency meeting requested by France and United Kingdom and tomorrow at the Brussels Syria Conference, in condemning the use of weapons of mass destruction on the Syrian population and in forcefully asking to single out the perpetrators of this crime against humanity.
The international community has the duty of putting an end to the deep suffering of the Syrian people and to re-establish peace, hope and future in that great Country.”
