Today the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Angelino Alfano, received at the Farnesina the Ukrainian Foreign Minister, Pavlo Klimkin. The Ukrainian crisis is a relevant issue for the Italian Presidency of the G7 and was at the top of the agenda both in the Lucca and Taormina summits. The main points underscored were the Country’s territorial integrity, independence and sovereignty, the G7’s continued support to the Country’s economic recovery and a call to not relent their commitment to pass reforms, as required by the Minsk Agreements.
