The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Angelino Alfano reiterated his sense of concern and deep sadness at the deaths and injuries suffered today at the Gaza Strip, which followed violent clashes between Palestinian demonstrators and Israeli security forces. Alfano said: “We appeal to all the parties involved to do everything possible to avoid further bloodshed and hope for a resumption of political-diplomatic initiatives aimed at relaunching the prospect of finding a political solution, which would enable the two peoples to live side by side in peace and security”.
