The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Enzo Moavero Milanesi, is grateful to the Government of Montenegro for its decision to host several migrants who arrived in Europe on the Diciotti offshore patrol vessel.
The decision came following talks with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Srđan Darmanović, and was announced to Minister Moavero on the fringes of an informal meeting of the foreign ministers of the EU Member States and Accession Countries in Vienna last 31 August.
Italy appreciates Montenegro’s concrete and noble act of solidarity and cooperation which is proof of its consistent compliance with the founding values of the European integration process.
