Also this year there are over 40 sessions grouped into 4 pillars: “Shared security”, “Shared prosperity”, “Migration” and “Culture and civil society”.
The aim of the MED Dialogues is to contribute to facing the challenges and opportunities posed by the “enlarged” Mediterranean, by focusing on the great opportunities that a positive agenda on development can offer. Among the strategic issues at the heart of the debate are: the main regional crises (with a focus on Libya and Syria); the challenges posed by the ongoing transition processes; the geopolitical competition between the various regional actors; terrorism and the fate of ISIS; the management of migration flows; the geopolitical impact of climate change; the new energy scenarios; and the role of investments and technological innovation in the region.
