A call between Minister Di Maio and the Canadian Minister Champagne

The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Luigi Di Maio had a call with the Canadian Foreign Affairs Minister Philippe Champagne. Following the Flight PS752 crash, where 63 Canadian citizens died, and since Canada has no Diplomatic Mission in Teheran, Minister Champagne sought Italy’s assistance in order to protect Canadian interests and encourage its consular assistance in Iran.

Minister Di Maio ensured Italy’s assistance and support to Canada and offered his deepest condolences to Minister Champagne and expressed solidarity with the families of the victims.
