Sereni: thanks to #WeAreItaly artists

“I want to thank all the artists and personalities from the world of culture who have joined #WeAreItaly – #staytunedonIT to support our country at this time. This was Marina Sereni’s statement, the Deputy Foreign Minister in charge of cultural promotion, about the campaign launched yesterday by the Foreign Ministry and addressed to the international public.

“The aim of the campaign – explains the Deputy Minister – is to launch a message from Italy to the rest of the world to make them understand that our Country, in this moment of serious concern and emergency, maintains its strength and its creative vitality that has always distinguished it. A positive message that has to raise awareness on how important it is to continue to produce and spread culture now more than ever before. On our website, in addition to artists’ contribution, we list all the projects and events promoted by the Ministry, in the idea that the Ministry, as well as Italy, does not stop”.

The campaign was joined by Andrea Bocelli, Uto Ughi, Tiziano Ferro, Paolo Fresu, Ada Montellanico, Nek, Andrea Griminelli, Rita Marcotulli, Fabrizio Bosso and many others, each of them creating a video message to be broadcasted abroad and inviting people to stay connected to the world of Italian culture.

Their contributions are available on the Foreign Ministry Youtube channel and on the #WeAreItaly webpage, accessible in Italian and English, within the esteri.it website (Politica estera > Promozione Integrata Sistema Paese), together with links to “digital fruition” initiatives (such as virtual visits to museums, streaming shows, films, readings, concerts) made available online by the Italian system of culture and creative industries.
