Vice Minister Emanuela Del Re had a videoconference with the UK Secretary of State for International Development, Anne Marie Trevelyan.
She highlighted the country’s great commitment to food security and the goal of making full use of FAO, PAM, and IFAD’s mandate to achieve important results, made even more urgent by the pandemic, in this area. Del Re recalled Rome’s candidacy for the Food Systems Summit.
Trevelyan shared the priority of achieving sustainable results on food security, which calls for the full use of the resources and mandate of the organizations of the Roman pole.
During the meeting, Secretary of State Trevelyan explained the objectives of the recent reform that brought back the competence on international cooperation within the Foreign Office.
