Today the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Luigi Di Maio, had a new telephone conversation with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Colombia, Claudia Blum Capurro De Barberi, regarding Paciolla affair.
To his colleague, the Minister reiterated Italian government’s strong expectation that the investigation could rapidly shed light on Mario Paciolla’s death cause and that Colombian investigative and legal bodies assure full cooperation to their Italian counterparts, also in the light of the fact that the Public Prosecutor’s Office in Rome has opened a file on the compatriot’s death and is in contact with the Colombian judicial authorities.
Minister Blum assured full cooperation. She also stressed that Colombian authorities attach great importance to this case and, as proven by constant contacts with the Italian Embassy in Bogotá, they are willing to keep cooperating with Italian authorities.
