“Great satisfaction for the historic agreement of the Artemis space program, signed by Undersecretary Fraccaro and the head of NASA Bridenstine – said Undersecretary Di Stefano – a result made possible thanks to a robust political and diplomatic coordination both in Italy and in the United States, for which I thank all the Italian officials and diplomats for their efforts”.
Italy is the first European country to sign an agreement with NASA. The project aims to bring the first woman and the next man back to the Moon by 2024, as a stable base for the exploration of other planets and celestial bodies in the solar system.
“This program is the most advanced point of human space research and exploration and represents an opportunity for our research and space industry whose excellence is internationally recognized. We will give a fundamental contribution to bring humanity back to the Moon and to visit other planets,” concluded the Undersecretary.
